SRF Fish Biotechnology Job Opportunity in Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) purely temporary
Essential qualification: M.F.Sc. (Fish Health Management/Fish Biotechnology/Fish Genetics and Breeding/Aquaculture/Fish Nutrition and Feed Tcchnology/Fisheric,s Resource Managemen/ Fish Processing Technology/Aquatic Environment Management).
OR
M.V.Sc. (Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology/microbiology /Biotechnology/ Medicine /Pathology/Pharmacology and Toxicology)
OR
M.Sc.(Microbiology/Biotochnology/Zoology with specialization in Fisheries.) Post-graduate in basic degree must have cleared the NET. Must have min. 65% marks or 6.5/10 OCPA in PG and 60% marks or 6.0/10 OCPA in UG
Desirable:
a. Experience in Fish disease/ Microbiology/ Molecular biology/Fish health
b. Experience of working on molecular technique like isolation of bacteria, virus, fungi etc pathogen, PCR, ELISA, blotting etc.
c. The candidate should be capable of extensive travelling and conducting fish farms sample collection throughout Punjab state
Preference: Will be given to the candidates with knowledge of Punjabi.

Fixed salary: Rs. 25,000/- p.m +20 % HRA in
Upper age limit: 35 years for men and 40 years for women at the time of appointment.
Note: If suitable candidate with knowledge of Punjabi is not available, then other candidate will be considered.
Job responsibilities: responsibilities:
a. To collect, process and analyze samples using molecular techniques
b. Baseline survey, Data collection and data entry
c. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by PI
