Name of the Project : Collaborative research project on “Improvement of banana for small holder farmers in the Great Lake Region of Africa” [Indian Component – Breeding for improved bananas with Fusarium Wilt (Fusarium oxysorum fsp cubense) resistance]
Senior Research Fellow /2 Posts
1. SRF
Qualification: First class in M.Sc. (Horticulture or Agriculture specialization in Plant Breeding and Genetics) or M.Sc.(Botany / Life Sciences) with NET qualification and 2 years of Research Experience or Ph.D. (Botany or any Life Sciences).
Desirable : At least 2 years experience in relevant field of specialization in reputed organization and knowledge in tissue culture, haploid breeding, polyploidization and conventional breeding.
2. SRF
Qualification: First class in Ph.D. (Plant Pathology / Life Science) or M.Sc. (Plant Pathology / Life Science / Biotechnology) with NET qualification and 2 years of Research Experience.
Desirable : Working experience in banana diseases preferably in Fusarium Wilt
Pay Scale: Rs.25000
Ph.D. Scholar /1 Post
Qualification: First class in M.Sc. (Horticulture / Plant Breeding / Biotechnology) or M.Sc. (Life Sciences / Botany / Biotechnology) .
Desirable : At least 1 – 2 years experience in relevant field of specialization in reputed organization and knowledge in tissue culture and conventional breeding .
