SRF Plant Breeding / Field Assistant Jobs opportunity in Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-CCARI) on temporary basis
Name of the Project : ICARNPTC: Genetic Mapping of Salinity Tolerant Genes in Rice.
SRF
Qualification : First class M.Sc. (Agri) degree with specialization in Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology having 4 years bachelor degree in agriculture. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences (Biotechnology) with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification.
Desirable : Research experience in Growing crops in the field condition / net house and related data handling; knowledge of experimental designs and statistical analysis of plant breeding data; molecular biology experience especially with molecular markers.

Emoluments : Rs.25,000/- + HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs.28,000/- + HRA for 3rd year.
Field Assistant
Qualification : 12th pass.
Desirable : Recording observations in field and recording of post harvest data pertaining to rice trials and experiments. Assisting in rice salinity screening work

ICAR - Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute is one of the research institutes established under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. ICAR is an autonomous organization under Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. ICAR Research Complex for Goa was established in April, 1976 as a regional centre under ICAR Research Complex for Northeast Hill region, Shillong, Meghalaya. Subsequently it became the regional centre, ICAR Research Complex for Goa, under CPCRI, Kasargod. Considering the importance of agriculture in Goa state, ICAR, New Delhi, upgraded the centre into an Independent Institute from April, 1989. Subsequently, this Institute has been upgraded from 1st April, 2014 as a ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute. This Institute is under the Natural Resource Management (NRM) division of ICAR.
