Job Description

SRF Soil Science/ Project Assistant job position in Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (ICAR-IISWC)

SRF
Qualification: Master’s degree in Soil science/Agricultural chemistry/Agronomy/ or relevant basic Sciences with 4 yrs of bachelor degree & 2 yrs of Master Degree. OR Candidates having post graduate degree in relevant basic science with 3 yrs Bachelor’s degree & 2 yrs Master’s Degree should have net Qualification. Desirable Qualification : Experience of two years in soil survey/Soil and water analysis in laboratory. Sound knowledge of laboratory analysis and instrumentation.
No. of Post : 01
Emoluments : Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA (10%) for first and second year and Rs. 28,000/- per month + HRA (10%) for the third year.
Age limit: Not more than 35 years for Men, 40 years for Women

Project Assistant
Qualification: Bachelor Degree in any branch of science OR Diploma in Agriculture. Desirable Qualification : Basic knowledge of Agriculture/ Soil and Water Conservation /Forestry/Horticulture

Emoluments: Rs.10,000/- per month + 1000/- + (HRA)
Age Limit : Not more than 30 years for man & 35 yrs for women as on date of interview.

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (ICAR-IISWC), (Formerly CSWCRTI) was established on 1st April,1974 with Headquarters at Dehradun by combining Soil and Water Conservation Research, Demonstration and Training Centres which were established in 1950’s at Dehradun, Kota, Bellary, Udhagamandalam, Vasad, Agra and Chandigarh. These centres were initially established by the Govt. of  India and transferred to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) on 1st  October, 1967. Subsequently two new Research Centres were added to the CSWCRTI, one at Datia in M.P. (18th September, 1986) to tackle soil and water conservation problems of  Bundelkhand region and another at Koraput in Orissa (31st January, 1992) to address the problems of shifting cultivation areas.
