SRF Veterinary Sciences job recruitment in recruitment in ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute on contractual basis

Project :“Centre for Advanced Agricultural Science and Technology-Advanced Centre for Livestock Health”(CAAST-ACLH)

A .SRF /04 Posts

Qualification: Master’s degree (M.V.Sc/ MTech/ M.Sc.) in Veterinary Sciences/ Animal Sciences/Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/ Animal Genetics and Breeding/Biophysics/Bioengineering /Microbiology with 4 years / 5 years bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post graduates degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years master’s degree in Life Sciences should have NET* qualification or PhD (awarded) in relevant subject.

Desirable qualification :Experience in cell culture, Hybridoma technology, Molecular biology techniques such as gene cloning and expression in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, ELISA, diagnostics, blood collection and handling of laboratory animals. Experience on Biosensors, LFA, point of care devices. Working knowledge of MS Office, report writing with good command in English

B.SRF/02Posts

Qualification: Master’s degree (M.V.Sc/MTech/M.Sc.) in Veterinary Sciences/Animal Sciences/Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/Animal Genetics and Breeding/ /Microbiology with 4 years / 5 years bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post graduates degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years master’s degree in Life Sciences should have NET* qualification or PhD (awarded) in relevant subject.

Desirable qualification :Experience of Computer programming like R, C++, Peri, Python etc. for big data (RNA/DNA Seq) analysis will be preferred. One year working experience with farm animals. Working experience of computer in M.S. word and excel

C.SRF/ 02 Posts

Qualification: Master’s degree (MTech/ME in Computer Science/MCA/MSc in Computer Science or Information Technology) with 4 years / 5 years bachelor’s degree. OR Master’s degree holders with the integrated degree like BTech and MTech (5 years) OR Graduates with 3 year’s Bachelor’s degree, who have acquired professional Master’s degree (3 years) like Masters in Computer Application, MTech, etc.

Desirable qualification :(i) Proficiency in web application development using ASP.Net/Jsp., (ii) Knowledge of other web application techniques/programming languages and animation (Bootstrap/Java script/JSON/HTML 5,Flash etc.) for development of expert systems and information systems. (iii) Knowledge of Mobile Application development technologies, Database Management. (iv)Evidence of at least 2 years experience in IT field.

D .SRF/04 Posts

Qualification: Master’s degree (M.V.Sc/MTech/M.Sc.) in Veterinary Sciences/Animal Sciences/Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/Animal Genetics and Breeding/Microbiology with 4 years / 5 years bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post graduates degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years master’s degree in Life Sciences should have NET* qualification or PhD (awarded) in relevant subject.

Desirable qualification : (i) Experience in working under any Veterinary / animal science project dealing with Molecular Biology/vaccinology/ diagnostics, etc. Especially with externally (ICAR/DBT/DST/CSIR) funded projects; working knowledge of MS Office, report writing with good command in English. (ii) Experience of handling bacteriological culture/ microbiological/ molecular biology/immunological techniques/cell culture studies; experience in handling of laboratory animals. (iii) Experience of analytical works related to animal nutrition, handling and management of farm and laboratory animals and analytical equipment like ELISA, HPLC AND GLC etc. Good knowledge of computers including research data analysis.

Age Limit: The upper age limit will be 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview.

Emoluments: Rs. 25000/+ applicable HRA for 1st and 2nd year and from 3rd year onwards Rs.28000/+ applicable HRA
