Job Description
Providing patient care, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with healthcare professionals
Referring the bed status book and enquiring about the patient’s condition.
Checking of the waste-bins to ensure waste is disposed off according to rules.
Writing of indents and sending to the I.P store.
Going on rounds with the doctors, assisting them in various procedures and following their instructions.
Getting the instruments ready for the doctors to perform minor procedures.
Ensuring total pre-operative and post-operative care to the patient.
Taking appointments from X-ray, Sonography and sending the patients for tests.
Checking of the stocks and medicines in the nursing station.
Counter checking after receiving the medicine indent, laboratory investigation report etc.
Maintaining Hygiene In respective Department (ICU/ Ward).
Bed making in the absence of staff nurse.
Indenting auxillary items like spirit, soap etc. twice a month.
Checking lifesaving equipment’s like oxygen cylinders etc.
Informing the Ward secretary about patient charges for oxygen & other procedures.
Monthly Linen check report to be given to the Linen department.
To maintain documents related to stock held in the ward / ICU department.
Responsible to ensure that excellent nursing care is rendered to all patients.
Prevention and control of cross infection in the ward/ICU.
Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, other nurses, and therapists.
