Staff Nurse
Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The role requires clinical expertise, teamwork, and strong communication to ensure the best possible patient outcomes while supporting their families.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment – Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

Care Planning – Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patients’ conditions and goals.

Life-Sustaining Interventions – Operate and manage ventilators, infusion pumps, and other critical care equipment; administer medications as prescribed.

Monitoring & Surveillance – Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs, lab reports, and health indicators to promptly identify changes in condition.

Collaboration & Communication – Work collaboratively with doctors and the interdisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring effective communication of patient progress and needs.

Family Support – Provide education, guidance, and emotional support to patients’ families.

Documentation – Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and care updates as per hospital standards.

Professional Development – Stay updated with evidence-based practices, participate in ongoing training, and support quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:

Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / GNM (with valid nursing registration).

1–3 years of experience in ICU or critical care preferred (freshers with ICU training may also apply).

Strong clinical, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Ability to handle life-saving equipment and emergency situations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
