Staff Nurse
Job Description
v Maintain discipline and silence at duty place and arrive for duty in time during duty hours remains present at your duty place.
v She will fulfill all basic needs (hygienic need, nutritional need etc.) of the patients.
v Ensure that nursing procedures are carried out in accordance with vh protocol and guidelines and these procedures are evidence based.
v Ensure availability of drugs and equipment’s required for each patient in time. Duty sister most know who is the consultant doctor & on call doctor for emergencies.
v Attend to each patient every hour and share few words with his/her condition and measure vitals and record to same in the nursing chart.
v Intake /output chart should be maintaining meticulously.
v Give any sudden deterioration occurs in the patient condition, then immediately call for EMT by announcing code blue.
v If any concerned staff nurse has any doubt regarding the treatment protocol of patient, the same should be immediately clarified from senior staff and GDMO on duty.
