Job Summary
We are hiring a dedicated and hardworking Steward - Kitchen Staff to support our kitchen operations. The steward will play a key role in helping the kitchen team maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Responsibilities include basic food preparation such as cutting vegetables, serving meals and tea to staff or guests, and assisting the kitchen team during meal prep and service times.
The ideal candidate should be physically fit, respectful, willing to follow instructions, and comfortable working in a kitchen environment. No formal education is required, but prior experience in hospitality or kitchen support is an advantage.:- Cutting vegetables

Key Responsibilities
1. Food Preparation Support

Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as directed by the cook or chef.

Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, grating, and cleaning ingredients.

Prepare ingredients ahead of time to support smooth meal preparation and timely service.
2. Meal and Beverage Service
-
Serve food and tea/coffee to staff, guests, or management as per the daily schedule or on request.

Carry food trays or utensils carefully from the kitchen to dining or serving areas.

Clear tables and remove used utensils, plates, and glasses after meals.

Maintain polite and courteous behavior while serving food and beverages.
3. Kitchen Assistance

Help in setting up the kitchen before meals and cleaning up afterward.

Assist the cook or chef during meal times by passing ingredients, mixing items, or arranging plates.

Refill supplies such as water, tea, or condiments as needed.

Ensure utensils and cooking tools are clean and stored properly.
4. Cleaning and Hygiene Maintenance

Wash kitchen tools, cutting boards, pots, pans, and dishes regularly.

Clean workstations, kitchen surfaces, and food preparation areas to maintain hygiene standards.

Keep floors dry and free from spills to avoid accidents.

Take out the garbage and dispose of waste as per kitchen procedures.

Ensure cleanliness of the dining or staff meal areas after food service.
5. Inventory and Supplies Handling

Help in receiving and organizing kitchen supplies like vegetables, grains, spices, and packaged goods.

Inform the supervisor or cook when kitchen items are running low.

Store perishable and non-perishable food items in appropriate places (refrigerators, shelves, bins).
