Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Storage Admin, you will be responsible to maintain and manage various storage solutions. Provide L2 & L3 Level technical support, guidance and direction for products supported. Analyse and resolve escalated problems.

Your Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain and Manage various storage solutions. Provide L2 & L3 Level technical support, guidance and direction for products supported. Analyse and resolve escalated problems.
- Ensure integrity of supported environment.
- Actively and pre-emptively determine possible faults and causes by the execution of pre-determined health and operational checks.
- Manage and resolve problems identified by sys admins or monitoring software. Work with change and problem management tools.
- Hardware /software fault detection and vendor liaison. Liaise with customer accounts as required, Analyse and resolve escalated problems within target.
- Investigate, identify and document proposals that will improve application recoverability.
- Document and implement changes to technical standards as required.
- Change and problem management targets are exceeded. Ensure that customer satisfactory levels are exceeded
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 4-5 yrs of experience in Storage administration
- Strong skills and experience on IBM V7000, V9000, Brocade Directors, Cisco SAN and Switches.
- Experienced in Troubleshooting performance related issues on IBM Storage, SRDF implementation, troubleshoot and maintain corporate storage and data replication structures
- Experience in to manage NAS and CIFS, Architecture and Design knowledge on Storage and SAN, remote replication for NAS
- Must have worked on Performance tuning of storage/Vlan configuration, Volumes/Luns creation, storage space management
- Strong in-depth knowledge of analysis for storage backend problems, Storage controller firmware up gradation, Disk controller firmware up gradation
- Analyzes current enterprise architectures and makes recommendations for capacity planning, performance tuning and design issues.
- Work is on Central shift requiring participation in on-call rotation.
- Work experience with wide range of NETAPP products such as NETAPP FAS Series 2000/3000/6000, 7
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in FC & ISCSI environment
- Experience NAS CIFS & NFS protocols, creation of CIFS/NFS file system and exporting to host, troubleshoot CIFS & NFS permission issues.
- L3 level Storage Monitoring, Operations, Administration, Planning & Deploying
- Should have provided 3rd level technical support for NetApp
- Administration & Support of NetApp filers
- Ability to ensure that all the data pertaining to the company and its clients is safeguarded against unauthorized or illegal use by implementing various methodologies against those who violate the security rules and regulations
- Proficient to maintain the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the information and to maintain its authenticity, control and utility of the relevant data
- Experience in supporting all the necessary procedures related to security approval, accreditation, certification, etc.
- In-depth knowledge to implement a realistic approach during the certification schedule and process
