Job Description
Required Technical Skill Set:
Strong knowledge (L3 level) on Storage Technologies like Netapp Cluster Mode,EMC Powermax, VPLEX, XtremIO, RecoverPoint, VMAX, VNX, ECS, Unity.
Strong SAN networking knowledge in Brocade and CISCO MDS SAN Switches
Good to have: Knowledge on API modelling, creation and delivery capability to provide the Storage As A Service model for consumption of the services directly by the client .Knowledge on PURE and Scality Storage .
Primary Skills:
· Resource should have good experience in handling Day to day Operations (L1, L2,L3) for the above provided devices.L3 level expertise is a must .
· Resource should be able to troubleshoot any sort of issues with his experience and bring quality production maintenance in the team .
· Resource should be able to train the L2/L1 resources in the team ,mentor them and bring it to their level .
· Resource should be ready to take Oncall support as per the shift schedule and also maintain team building culture .
· Resource should have good communication skills to interact with International counterparts (Language :English ).
· Resource should be able to collaborate well within other infra support teams and maintain high quality conversations in these interactions .
· Resource should be well versed with ticketing tool (Service Now ) and be able to orchestrate the policies well within the team and abide by the same .
· Monitoring ,Vendor Management , Health Checks would be part of Day to day Operations
· Resource should be able to bring in a quality approach towards Operations and identify opportunities for handling duplicate Incidents, involve in ticket remediation etc .
· Resource should have a sense of ownership in dealing with Incidents, Changes ,Problems and follow all the process laid out.
· DR Handling – Resource should have good expertise in handling DR’s for the customer in an effective way .
· Expertise in building resilient, high performance SAN , NAS, Object Storage Solution
· Expertise in Implementation and administration on EMC VPLEX, VNX, RecoverPoint, XtremIO, ECS and providing solutions for the same
· Expertise in Implementation and administration on NetApp Cluster mode filers and providing solution for the same
· Expertise in Brocade SAN switches for SAN connectivity
· Strong knowledge with Cisco MDS Director class SAN switches for SAN connectivity
· Strong knowledge on FC and IP based storage replications
· Flexibility to work in shifts for 24x7 support.
· Co-ordination with multiple stake holders / Third party Vendors for break-fix.
· Must be able to lead the critical outage calls.
· Create the Standard Operating Procedure and update the knowledge database documentation whenever required.
· Participate in weekly/ monthly/ customer meeting and provide activities report.
· Must be well versed in Storage reports generation EMC ViPR SRM, NetApp OCI, Grafana.
· Tuning parameters and fixing Storage performance issues
· Must be continuously Intune with Market standards and should be able to provide solutions with respect to move to cloud strategy.
· Knowledge around cloud infra/storage offerings.
· Knowledge on performance analysis and proposals.
· Experience in capacity and performance scale out management.
· Excellent in documentation and training.
