Key Responsibilities
1. Store Operations Management

Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the store or warehouse.

Open and close the store on time, ensuring all procedures and safety protocols are followed.

Monitor store cleanliness, organization, and display arrangements to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.

Implement and enforce company policies and operational standards.
2. Inventory and Stock Management
-
Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
-
Maintain accurate stock records through inventory management software or systems.
-
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
-
Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries from vendors or suppliers.
-
Coordinate with the purchasing team for timely replenishment of stock based on sales data and forecasts.
3. Sales and Customer Service
-
Attend to customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.

Help customers find products, explain features, and offer recommendations.
-
Assist in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
-
Monitor and analyze sales trends to adjust stock displays or sales tactics.
-
Ensure all promotional materials and in-store marketing campaigns are implemented effectively.
4. Staff Supervision and Coordination
-
Supervise store staff including sales associates, cashiers, and stockroom assistants.

Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide training or guidance as required.

Maintain discipline, resolve conflicts, and ensure team productivity.

Prepare staff rosters and schedules to ensure adequate manpower during peak and off-peak hours.
5. Cash and Billing Management
-
Oversee billing and POS (Point of Sale) operations, ensuring accurate transaction entries.
-
Handle petty cash, cash drawers, and reconcile daily sales with cash/credit receipts.
-
Submit end-of-day reports on sales, expenses, and cash register balances.
6. Vendor and Supplier Coordination
-
Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and product quality.
-
Verify bills, delivery challans, and negotiate pricing or terms when required.
-
Report any issues related to defective products, late deliveries, or short supplies.
7. Reporting and Documentation
-
Generate and maintain reports related to sales, stock, customer feedback, and staff attendance.
-
Submit weekly/monthly operational reports to store managers or higher management.
-
Maintain records of store assets, maintenance schedules, and safety inspections.
