Job Description
Salary period of 1 to 8
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory & Stock Management:
-
Maintain accurate records of all materials, tools, consumables, and finished goods in the store.

Receive, inspect, and document all incoming goods, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders.

Issue materials to departments or technicians based on requisition slips, ensuring proper entries are recorded.

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly physical stock verification and reconcile any discrepancies with system records.

Monitor minimum stock levels and alert procurement for replenishment as needed.
2. Data Entry & Record Keeping:
-
Enter all inward and outward stock movement in the system (Excel, Tally, ERP, or other inventory software).

Maintain electronic and physical records of stock registers, issue slips, material receipts, and dispatch notes.

Update daily store activity logs, gate passes, goods receipt notes (GRNs), delivery challans, and purchase returns.

Ensure timely and accurate entry of bills, invoices, and vendor documentation into the system.
3. Store Organization & Cleanliness:

Arrange materials systematically in the store area with proper tagging and labeling.

Ensure safe storage conditions for different material types (e.g., chemicals, fragile items, perishables).

Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) or LIFO (Last In, First Out) as applicable to inventory type.

Keep the store neat, clean, and organized to facilitate quick access and inventory audits.
4. Coordination & Communication:

Coordinate with purchase, accounts, dispatch, and production departments for material requirements and documentation.

Communicate with vendors or logistics partners in case of material delays, rejections, or returns.

Support internal and external audits by providing relevant records and reports.
5. Compliance & Safety:
-
Follow safety protocols in storing and handling materials.

Comply with internal company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensure timely disposal of damaged or expired materials as per company guidelines.
