Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations & Management

Oversee daily operations of the jewellery showroom including sales, billing, and stock handling.

Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and fully operational at all times.

Manage opening and closing procedures and ensure showroom readiness.

Supervise gold jewellery handling, including secure display and storage as per safety norms.
2. Sales & Customer Service
-
Drive sales by motivating the team and setting sales targets.
-
Handle VIP and walk-in customers with excellent hospitality and professionalism.
-
Educate customers about product features, purity, designs, and pricing.

Ensure prompt customer service, after-sales support, and grievance handling.

Build long-term customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
3. Staff Management
-
Recruit, train, and manage showroom staff including sales executives, cashiers, and support staff.

Assign duties, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.

Conduct regular team meetings and training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
4. Inventory & Stock Control
-
Maintain accurate stock records and coordinate with the accounts/inventory department.

Conduct daily stock audits, reconciliations, and prevent shrinkage or loss.

Ensure proper tagging, pricing, and secure handling of gold and diamond jewellery.
5. Reporting & Coordination
-
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and present performance summaries to senior management.

Coordinate with marketing and promotional teams for in-store campaigns and events.

Stay updated with market trends, competitors’ offerings, and customer preferences.
Skills Required:

Strong leadership and team management skills.
-
Excellent communication in Tamil and English (Hindi is a plus).
-
Good knowledge of jewellery, gold purity standards (22k, 24k, BIS hallmarking), and ornament types.

Strong sales skills and customer service orientation.

Basic accounting and billing knowledge (POS systems, gold rate calculations, etc.).

Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
Other Requirements:

Must be well-groomed and presentable.

Willing to work on weekends and festive seasons (peak retail hours).

Trustworthy and capable of handling high-value inventory responsibly.
