Job Description
Job Summary:
We are hiring a (Sewage Treatment Plant) STP Operator for a 100 KLD STP cum Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) installed at our hospital. The selected candidate will be responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of the plant during the general shift only, ensuring that the system runs efficiently and the treated water meets the necessary discharge quality.
Freshers are welcome to apply, provided they have basic knowledge of motors, blowers, pumps, and machinery used in STP/ETP systems. Proper training and supervision will be provided during the initial period.
Key Responsibilities:
1. STP/ETP Plant Operation:

Operate and monitor the 100 KLD combined STP and ETP installed at the hospital premises.

Ensure that the plant functions smoothly and efficiently during the general shift.

Start/stop equipment such as pumps, blowers, agitators, and dosing systems as per schedule.
2. Equipment Monitoring:

Monitor the performance of motors, blowers, and mechanical equipment.

Identify unusual sounds, overheating, or any abnormal behavior of machines and report immediately.

Ensure all machinery is in good working condition during your shift.
3. Plant Housekeeping:

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around the STP/ETP area.

Regularly remove sludge, backwash filters, and clean tanks.

Ensure that there is no odor, leakages, or blockages in the system.
4. Basic Testing and Records:

Take basic readings of parameters such as pH, TDS, and flow rate (training will be provided).

Log daily operational data including motor readings, blower hours, chemical usage, and treated water output.

Inform the supervisor if parameters go out of range.
5. Safety and Compliance:

Operate the plant safely, using protective gear (PPE) at all times.

Handle chemicals (chlorine, alum, etc.) carefully, as guided.

Comply with hospital and environmental safety norms.
6. Coordination:

Coordinate with the maintenance team for equipment servicing and repairs.

Report any technical or mechanical fault immediately to the Engineering team.
