Sub Inspector (works), Group 'B' / Junior Engineer/ Sub Inspector (Electrical) Job Position in Border Security Force (BSF)
Sub Inspector (works), Group 'B'
No. of Posts : 10 (UR-05, OBC-02, SC-02, ST-02)
Qualification : Pass three years Diploma in Civil Engineering Institute recognized by the Central Government or State Government
Pay Band : Pay Band-2 Rs. Pay 9300-34800 + GP4200/-
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years of age as on last date of receipt of application.
Junior Engineer/Sub Inspector Electrical Group B
No. of Posts : 21 (UR-09, OBC-07, SC-04, ST-01)
Educational Qualification : Pass three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from an Institute recognized by the Central Government or State Government.
Pay Band : Pay Band-2 Rs. Pay 9300-34800
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years of age as on last date of receipt of application.
Physical Standards Test (PST)
(a) Height
Men : 165 Cms. (Relaxable by 5 Cms for hill Tribes and Adivasis including Mizos and Nagas)
Women : 157 Cms
(b) Chest
Men : 76 - 81 Cms (Relaxable by 02 Cms for candidates below 20 years of age)
(c) Weight
Men : Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards
Women : According to height but not less than 46 Kgs
Medical Standards :
Eve Sight : The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both the eyes without correcton (i.e. without wearing of glass) visual correction of any kind is not permitted even by glasses.
Selection Procedure :
The selection procedure will be conducted at the selection Centres There will be two papers of the following parts :
(i) First Paper
aa) Ceneral Intelligence & Reasoning - 25 Questions - 25 Marks
ab) Ceneral awareness - 25 Questions - 25 Marks
ac) General Engineering (Civil) - 50 Questions - 50 Marks
Standard and syllabus for Paper-I :- The written examination of Paper-l shall be conducted from the following subject:-
(aa) General Intelligence & Reasoning
(ab) General Awareness
(ac) General Engineering (Civil)
Fee : Each application should be accompanied by a Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order for Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred only) as examination fee in favour of the following addressee to whom the application is addressed. However, fee is exempted for all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe. BSF Candidates & Ex-Servicemen.
