Summer Internship Programme in Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Microbiology: 8 May – June 6, 2017

A strong foundation in basic concepts and instrumentation in scientific disciplines such as biochemistry, biotechnology and microbiology needs to be built in young minds to take up challenges in frontier areas of science research in future. The ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode, a premier research institute in spice crops in India under the aegis of Indian council of Agricultural Research, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, Government of India is committed to develop basic skills in the above disciplines in students. To fulfil this objective, the Institute is organizing a one month internship programme at the Institute during the summer vacation from 8 May – June 6, 2017.

Who can participate?

Students undergoing M.Sc. Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology preferably in the final year of the Programme and those who recently completed their Masters in the above disciplines. The programme includes lectures and hands on training to the participants.

Duration: May 8 – June 6 , 2017

Course Fees: Rs. 10,000/- plus 15 % as Service tax. The fee is inclusive of lunch and tea. Accommodation charges and other charges should be borne by the students. Selected candidates are required to remit the fee on or before starting of the programme.
