Job Description
The Supervisor will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations within the ICF shop, particularly overseeing the forklift drivers and helpers. This role involves assigning tasks based on the work allotted by Railway employees, ensuring safety, efficiency, and proper utilization of resources in the shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the activities of forklift drivers and helpers to ensure smooth operations in the ICF shop.
- Assign tasks to team members according to job requirements set by Railway authorities.
- Monitor the workflow and ensure tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of equipment.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure proper maintenance of forklifts and tools.
- Report any issues or incidents to senior management.
- Provide guidance and training to new employees and ensure their adherence to shop policies.
- Maintain records of assigned tasks and work progress.
- Liaise with Railway employees to understand the scope of work and make necessary adjustments to assignments.
- Assist in ensuring that production schedules and quality standards are met.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in an industrial or warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of forklift operations and safety standards.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and job scheduling.
Work Environment:
- Indoor environment within the ICF shop.
- Exposure to machinery and industrial equipment.
- Must adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £18,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Day shift
