Qualification : 1. A masters Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library. 2. The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET/NET. 3. However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree, in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. degree) Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of College Librarian

Qualification : 1. The candidate should have good academic record with 55% marks at P.G. level in concerned subject. He/She should have NET/SET/Ph.D. as per UGC regulation 30 June 2010. 2. Good academic record as defined by the concerned Univeristy with at list 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the maser’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian university, or equivalent degree from accredited foreign university. 3. Besides fulfilling the above qualification, the candidate must have cleared the NET conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. 4. Notwith standing anything contained in subclasses (1) and (2) to this clauses 4.4.1, candidates who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with University Grants Commission’s (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. degree) regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in university/ colleges/ institutions. 5. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such masters programs in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
