Title: System Administrator III.
Location: Bangalore, India

The Systems Administrator, within our Infrastructure and Operations teams is accountable for Windows Server, LANdesk, and SolarWinds administration. The System Administrator will work at the highest level of technical complexity under broad direction on day to day administration and projects. This role is responsible for Windows System Administration and patching..

Accountabilities & Essential Functions
  • Ensures stability and reliability of server infrastructure using Windows System and VMware administrator skills, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise
  • Ensures patching of Windows servers occurs with no disruption to the business, including coordinating times and testing with application owners
  • Increases productivity and repeatability by ensuring standard configurations, creation of automation, and resolution of alerts
  • Adds common requests to Service Now Catalog, working with Service Now administrator
  • Completes Server build, Server decommission and related maintenance as assigned by Open Systems Manager or Senior Administrators in a timely manner
  • Provides Open Systems support by participating in the On-Call Rotation
  • Interacting with application owners for resolution of server/application issues, and coordinating maintenance
  • Maintains existing application servers by continually improving understanding of application dependencies on infrastructure and associated interdependencies
  • Understands current operating procedures by consulting with senior administrators and familiarizing themselves with existing infrastructure
Skills & Certifications
  • Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016 and 2019
  • Experience with LANDesk
  • Strong experience with SolarWinds
  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere 6.7
  • Knowledge of Nutanix
System Administrator III
  • Windows Server administration - 2012 R2, 2016 and 2019
  • SolarWinds administration, alert configuration, monitoring resolution
  • LANdesk Server software inventory and server patching
  • VMware 6.7 administration
  • Fluent in PowerShell
Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science preferred.
  • Four to Eight years related experience required
