Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive System Administrator to install, configure, maintain, and support our organization’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal system performance, security, and reliability while providing technical support to internal users.
Key Responsibilities:
System & Server Management
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, Unix).
Manage physical and virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, cloud VMs).
Monitor and optimize system performance, storage, and availability.
Apply regular patches, updates, and firmware upgrades.
User & Access Management
Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies via Active Directory or equivalent tools.
Maintain secure access control for systems and data.
Network & Security
Monitor network connectivity and troubleshoot network-related issues.
Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, antivirus solutions, and endpoint security tools.
Implement and enforce IT security policies and compliance standards.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
Provide L2/L3 support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Resolve server crashes, system errors, and application problems.
Collaborate with IT teams to diagnose and fix complex technical issues.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
Manage and maintain backup systems.
Test and verify disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
Documentation & Monitoring
Document system configurations, changes, and procedures.
Use monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, etc.) to proactively identify issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in system administration.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and VMware environments.
Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.
Understanding of storage systems (SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work in rotational shifts or 24x7 environments if required.
