Demonstrated experience in day-to-day Support as L1 &L2 Analyst, monitoring, Issue Resolution,

troubleshooting skills and standard SQL Database administration and routine maintenance

activities.

• User and database security management, creating users, roles, granting permissions.

• Experience in Creating Jobs and sending Alerts using SQL mail.

• Performing the initial checklist for the new Database, which contains changing the data and

log growths and creating full and log backups.

• Eye experience in Installing, configuring, securing and managing SQL servers to ensure better

performance and application availability.

• Experience in working with production (24 x 7) and development environments.

• Ability to perform all Database Administration (DBA) tasks like performing database backups

and recovery, monitoring logs and hard disk consumption growth rate etc.

• Able to configure jobs for routine activities and troubleshooting them in case of failures.

• Monitor SQL Server down, SQL Server Agent, Error log, Application and System logs, Job

failures, Backup Failures, Database and Log growth, CPU, Memory and Disk Utilization using

the in-house built SQL Server monitoring tool.

• Creating database users, controlling access to SQL Server and making sure right people get

access to right data and looking after the security issues.

• Basic knowledge in advanced concepts of SQL server like Mirroring and log shipping.

• Expertise in implementing MS SQL Server security and database permissions.

• Creating and Administering the SQL Server Databases, Managing other Growth Parameters.

• Hands on experience in creating Database Objects including Tables, Indexes, Views and Stored

Procedures.

• Database performance monitoring and tuning when required as per application and business

requirements.

• Knowledge on SQL Server clustering
