About The Team

FIS SFP provides solutions for financial institutions to effectively manage and optimize their positions, settlements, and operations. It is intended for use by brokerage and banking communities to facilitate client investment activities.

What You Will Be Doing

General Duties Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities of the operational staff include the following but are not limited to

• Application and system monitoring in Production, UAT, TEST and DR environments (Phase3, Loanet, StreamCore)
• Utilizing various monitoring products including Prognosis, UC4, HPOV, SCAPM and various other products.
• First Level application and system issues resolution
• Problem notification and escalation to Management and Second Level Support
• Monitoring of daily and nightly batch cycle through various batch scheduling utilities (NetBatch, UC4, CRON)
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix basic issues is a must.
• Monitoring of synchronization between Production and Hot site environments
• Daily backups and restores of database files and reports, includes FTP and NDM transmission of these files.
• Monitoring all incoming and outgoing transmission to clients, vendor and internal systems (over 15000 a day)
• Daily monitoring of IBM WebSphere (MQ) product.
• Daily use of various Third party products including but not limited to Connect Direct (NDM), MQ, FTP, Prognosis, VTS (Virtual Tape Systems)
• Weekend / Holidays coverage and support is required.
• HP Non-stop (Tandem) experience is a must (TACL/ TEL / NETBATCH).
• Good to have Windows /UNIX / LINUX experience
• Good understanding of SQL

What You Bring

Knowledge / Experience

• Good team worker, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• 5 -8 years of data processing operations experience in HP Non-stop and open systems
• Excellent decision making and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate interactions with Product Managers, Client Services and understanding of their operational requests.
• Ability to analyze all system processing delays, failures and errors to determine the appropriate action for necessary resolution
• Ability to use troubleshooting applications and tools for First and Second level issues
• Ability to use and reference system related documentation

Skills

• Some technical experience with Windows, Linux, other middleware technologies
• Strong desktop computing skills MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent
• ITIL v3 Foundation or higher desirable

Competencies

• Fluent in English
• Excellent communicator ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion
• Attention to detail track record of authoring high quality documentation
• Organized approach manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements
• Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
