Job Description
We are a growing company looking for an efficient systems engineer to help us expand our computing infrastructure. The systems engineer's responsibilities include working with a team of IT specialists to design, set up and maintain a network of computers, including hardware, software, and system architecture.
- Qualification: BE/BTech/MCA
- Experience: 1– 2 years
- Salary: 20000 to 25000
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Design and Architecture:

Analyze technical requirements and design scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

Create and maintain documentation for system architecture, integration points, and standard operating procedures.

Recommend hardware and software configurations based on business needs.
2. System Installation and Configuration:

Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) and enterprise applications.

Set up servers, storage solutions, and network components.
-
Deploy virtualization solutions such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM as required.
3. Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or Splunk.

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in system hardware or software.
-
Regularly evaluate system capacity and scalability to support growth.
4. Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for system issues, escalating as needed.

Troubleshoot server, application, and infrastructure-related problems.

Respond to system outages or performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
5. Security and Compliance:

Implement and maintain system security measures, including firewalls, access controls, and encryption.

Ensure systems comply with organizational policies and industry regulations (e.g., ISO, HIPAA, GDPR).

Perform regular patching, system updates, and vulnerability assessments.
6. Automation and Scripting:

Write scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or other languages to automate repetitive tasks.

Create deployment and configuration automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

Manage CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps or development teams.
7. Backup and Disaster Recovery:

Develop and implement backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.

Regularly test backup systems and failover procedures to ensure data integrity.

Use backup tools like Veeam, Commvault, or native OS solutions.
8. Collaboration and Documentation:

Work closely with software developers, network engineers, database administrators, and project managers.

Maintain detailed technical documentation, system logs, and user manuals.

Participate in IT audits, system reviews, and strategic planning meetings.
