Job Description
Job Overview
A Tally Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry, GST-related work, invoice preparation, and financial record maintenance using Tally ERP or Tally Prime. The ideal candidate should have basic accounting knowledge, experience in Tally GST, and good typing skills.
This is a full-time, office-based role with fixed working hours and a 5-day work week, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals who wish to build their career in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting and Data Entry

Record day-to-day financial transactions in Tally ERP / Tally Prime.

Maintain accurate ledgers, vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.

Ensure timely posting of expenses, incomes, and bank transactions.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
2. GST and Taxation

Handle GST-related entries and maintain proper documentation.

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual GST reports.

Support in tax filings and statutory compliance requirements.

Reconcile GST input/output and ensure accuracy in tax records.
3. Invoice and Billing Management

Prepare sales invoices, purchase bills, and payment vouchers.

Ensure accuracy of billing details, amounts, and tax calculations.

Coordinate with vendors and clients regarding invoice-related queries.
4. Bank Reconciliation
-
Perform monthly bank reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records.

Keep track of deposits, withdrawals, and pending payments.

Report discrepancies, if any, to the Accounts Manager.
5. Reporting and Documentation

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports using Tally.

Maintain digital and physical records of all financial transactions.

Provide assistance during audits by preparing required documents.
Required Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills

Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and GST compliance.

Good typing speed and accuracy for data entry.

Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
Soft Skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Educational Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: 12th Pass.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.

Certification in Tally ERP / Tally Prime is an added advantage.
Work Experience

Minimum 6 months of experience working with Tally GST is required.

Freshers with Tally knowledge and basic accounting skills may also apply.
Work Schedule
-
Shift Timings: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Working Days: Monday to Friday.

Weekly Off: Saturday & Sunday.

Work Mode: Office-based job (No work-from-home option).
