- Corporate Accounting Duties complete multiple general ledger reconciliations, journal entry preparation, allocate and distribute intercompany expenses, manage accounts payable, and participate in financial month-end close
- Trust Accounting duties research and make adjustments to GL items, including balance sheet accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable and liability accounts
- Completing accounting system transactions, GL review and corrections, financial statement inquiries, data uploads to accounting software, and other support
- Financial statement preparation and documentation, and assist in review and distribution of monthly reports
- Preparation of invoices posting, paying and tracking in accounting system, including loss adjustment expenses and vendor remittances
- Bank Acct Reconciliations pull bank statements from online bank portal, print and distribute.
- Complete premium reconciliations for trust accounts as well as for one corporate entity, including recognizing and recording cash items, as needed.
- Review and log claim account (daily) check runs
- Manage daily bank balances
- Accounting System Conversion experience
- Process stop pays, check inquiries, positive pay and manual check requests
- Ensure adequate supply of checks and order/re-order check stock as needed.
- Respond to requests for information from internal and external sources
- Assists with audit compliance
- Establishes and maintains up-to-date and accurate operational manuals/work procedure instructions and reference manuals for the department.
- Ensures that department goals and objectives are met and maintained.
- Performs all other job functions and projects as assigned and deemed necessary.
