Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) invites applications for the position of Electricity Ombudsman
As per the Regulations for Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum and Electricity Ombudsman 2004, the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission will designate/appoint one or more persons to be known as Electricity Ombudsman to carry out the functions entrusted to him by these Regulations. He shall decide on the Appeal Petitions filed against the orders issued by the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum of the Distribution Licensees and shall carry on his duties as per these Regulations and Codes / Regulations that have been notified by the Commission.
1. Position: Electricity Ombudsman
2. No of post: 01
3. Qualification: Should be a person with ability, integrity, enjoy a high reputation, and should have qualifications in electrical engineering with experience in the electricity sector. Experience in various wings of distribution utility and knowledge of law would be additional qualifications.
4. Pay: Last pay is drawn minus pension plus applicable allowances
Age Limit: The minimum age shall be 50 years. Candidates above the age of 62 will not be considered.
