Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Passenger Transportation:

Pick up passengers from designated locations such as homes, offices, hotels, airports, or other areas.

Confirm the destination, preferred route (if any), and provide estimated time of arrival.

Transport passengers safely, courteously, and efficiently to their requested destinations.
-
Assist passengers with loading and unloading of luggage, shopping bags, or wheelchairs if needed.
-
Ensure that all passengers are seated and secure before driving.
2. Vehicle Safety and Maintenance:
-
Conduct daily vehicle checks before starting a shift, including tires, brakes, lights, wipers, horn, and fuel levels.
-
Keep the vehicle clean, hygienic, and well-maintained both inside and outside.

Report any mechanical issues or damage immediately to the supervisor or fleet manager.

Arrange for routine servicing and emergency repairs when necessary.

Maintain proper records of maintenance, repairs, and fuel usage.
3. Route Planning and Navigation:
-
Use GPS, digital maps, or knowledge of local roads to determine the most efficient route.

Adapt routes to avoid traffic congestion, construction, or road closures.

Be familiar with alternative routes to reach destinations quickly during peak hours.

Comply with all local traffic laws, parking rules, and safety guidelines.
4. Customer Service and Communication:
-
Greet passengers politely and ensure a pleasant customer experience throughout the trip.

Handle customer queries or complaints calmly and professionally.
-
Provide information or suggestions when asked (e.g., tourist attractions, hotels, dining).
-
Collect fare payments accurately, issue receipts, and return change if necessary (for cash rides).
-
Respect passenger privacy and maintain confidentiality.
5. Recordkeeping and Reporting:
-
Maintain a daily log of trips, kilometers/miles driven, hours worked, and fare collected.

Report any accidents, incidents, or legal issues immediately to the supervisor.

Follow company guidelines for shift start, break times, and end-of-day reports.
-
Track and record fuel expenses, toll charges, and parking fees if reimbursable.
