Job Description

The Child Care Centre (CCC) at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) is

looking for a full-time teacher. The teacher will be responsible for monitoring and engaging

children of various age groups in a fun and educational way. Besides classroom activities, the

teacher will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day functioning of the CCC including

supervising hygiene, maintaining attendance records of supporting teachers and staff, keeping

proper accounts of CCC expenses, and building a rapport with parents to understand their needs

and concerns.

Expected qualifications and experience

 Certified in early childhood education

 3-4 years of experience working in a daycare centre or pre-school

 Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi/Gujarati

 Caring and nurturing attitude towards children

Salary will be as per market norms and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Please note that CCC teachers are appointed on a contractual basis and are not considered as

IIMA staff and therefore they do not qualify for IIMA staff benefits. Contract is extendable

subject to performance.
