Key Responsibilities

1. Classroom Instruction

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons based on the approved curriculum and syllabus.

  • Use a variety of teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, demonstrations, group activities, and digital tools to accommodate different learning styles.

  • Set clear learning objectives and outcomes for each lesson and ensure students understand the expectations.

  • Use visual aids, real-life examples, and multimedia content to make learning more interactive and effective.

2. Lesson Planning and Preparation

  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student learning goals.

  • Prepare and organize teaching materials such as worksheets, textbooks, presentations, and project assignments.

  • Update lesson content regularly to include relevant current examples, real-world applications, and recent developments.

  • Participate in collaborative planning sessions with other faculty members to ensure consistency and integration of subjects.

3. Student Assessment and Evaluation

  • Conduct regular assessments through tests, quizzes, assignments, oral exams, and projects to measure student performance.

  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and address learning gaps.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, performance, behavior, and progress.

  • Prepare report cards and participate in parent-teacher meetings to share student evaluations and discuss support plans.

4. Classroom Management

  • Create a structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment that encourages discipline and respect.

  • Establish classroom rules, routines, and behavior guidelines, and ensure fair enforcement.

  • Manage student behavior calmly and effectively, addressing issues such as absenteeism, distraction, and conflict in a professional manner.

  • Encourage student participation, teamwork, and collaboration to build a strong classroom culture.

5. Student Support and Development

  • Identify students who need additional academic or emotional support and provide appropriate interventions.

  • Offer remedial classes or extra coaching sessions to help struggling students.

  • Guide students in setting academic goals, choosing project topics, and improving study habits.

  • Serve as a mentor and role model, promoting good values, integrity, and positive attitudes.

6. Communication and Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to share updates, concerns, and achievements.

  • Attend staff meetings, departmental discussions, and professional development workshops.

  • Collaborate with colleagues on school activities, events, and interdisciplinary projects.

  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school functions, and other community engagement initiatives.

7. Administrative and Other Duties

  • Take attendance and maintain classroom records as per school policy.

  • Assist in exam invigilation, curriculum review, and school inspections.

  • Supervise extracurricular activities such as school clubs, sports, art programs, and educational trips.

  • Contribute to school publications, newsletters, and online learning portals.
