Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate, committed, and experienced Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences. The teacher will develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives and assess and record students' progress to support their academic and personal development.
This role requires a deep understanding of teaching methodologies, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential. Whether in a primary, secondary, or higher education environment, the teacher will serve as a role model and mentor for learners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lesson Planning and Delivery

Prepare lesson plans in accordance with curriculum objectives and school standards.

Teach engaging and interactive lessons using a variety of instructional techniques and materials.

Ensure the lessons are inclusive and cater to students with different learning styles and abilities.

Incorporate real-life examples and multimedia resources to enhance learning outcomes.
2. Classroom Management

Create a positive and disciplined learning environment.

Manage student behavior in the classroom and on school premises.

Promote mutual respect, good manners, and ethical conduct.

Implement behavior management strategies and resolve conflicts constructively.
3. Assessment and Evaluation

Design assignments, tests, and examinations to evaluate student progress.

Mark and grade assessments fairly and consistently.

Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance.

Track and report student attendance, participation, and academic achievements.
4. Student Support and Development

Identify and support students with learning difficulties or special educational needs.

Provide individual attention through tutoring, mentoring, or remedial sessions.

Encourage student participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Foster personal, emotional, and social growth among students.
5. Collaboration and Professional Development

Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, subject coordinators, and school staff.

Participate in departmental and faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and staff development programs.

Stay updated with the latest teaching trends, tools, and technologies.

Share best practices and participate in teacher training workshops.
6. Curriculum Development

Contribute to the review, design, and enhancement of the academic curriculum.

Integrate modern educational methods, digital learning tools, and project-based learning.

Align lesson plans with examination boards or national education standards.
7. Administrative Duties

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, marks, and progress.

Prepare required reports, results, and documentation for school administration.

Supervise students during lunch breaks, field trips, and school functions (if required).

Assist in the organization and execution of school events and celebrations.
