Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher for English to join our academic team for Pre-Primary, Primary, and Secondary classes. The ideal candidates should have a strong command of the English language, a genuine passion for teaching, and the ability to create an engaging learning environment for students. Freshers and experienced teachers are welcome to apply, provided they hold the required educational qualifications and a nurturing attitude toward learners.
As an English teacher, you will be responsible for planning lessons, delivering classroom instruction, assessing student progress, and promoting the overall development of children through language learning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Instruction

Deliver effective and age-appropriate lessons in English language and literature.

Teach phonics, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

For secondary levels, guide students in comprehension, creative writing, literary analysis, and formal grammar.

Plan and prepare daily lesson plans aligned with the curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board/International, as applicable).

Integrate storytelling, group reading, audio-visual tools, and activity-based learning.
2. Student Development

Monitor and support the academic and emotional development of students.

Encourage student participation and foster a love for reading and communication.

Identify individual learning needs and provide additional support where necessary.

Promote creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression through language use.
3. Assessment & Evaluation
-
Design worksheets, class tests, and assessments for language skills.

Evaluate student performance through assignments, classwork, oral presentations, and exams.

Maintain accurate student records and progress reports.

Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
4. Classroom Management
-
Maintain discipline and order in the classroom.

Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning.

Use positive reinforcement to encourage student engagement and participation.

Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
5. Curriculum Enrichment
-
Contribute to the development of academic content and lesson materials.

Plan and participate in literary activities, language labs, competitions, and school events.

Organize reading clubs, debates, elocution, and storytelling sessions (especially for primary and secondary levels).
6. Communication & Reporting
-
Attend parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) and update parents on student performance and behavior.

Collaborate with subject teachers and coordinators for interdisciplinary learning.

Submit regular reports and documentation to the Academic Coordinator or Principal.
7. Professional Development

Attend teacher training workshops and educational seminars.

Stay updated with the latest teaching techniques and educational methodologies.

Engage in self-learning and collaborative learning to improve classroom delivery.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements

For Pre-Primary Level:
-
Graduate in any discipline (preferably English)
-
NTT (Nursery Teacher Training) or equivalent certificate

For Primary and Secondary Levels:
-
BA/MA in English (Literature or Language) is mandatory
-
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) is required (or in progress)

Experience

Freshers with strong communication skills and a passion for teaching are welcome

Experienced teacher in English teaching will be preferred for senior roles

Exposure to CBSE/ICSE/IB/State Board curriculum is an added advantage
