Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and results-oriented Tech Sales Executive to join our growing technology sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying potential clients, understanding their technical requirements, and offering the right product or solution from our tech portfolio. Your primary goal will be to drive sales growth, build long-term client relationships, and serve as a knowledgeable representative of our technology solutions.

This position requires a blend of strong technical understanding, strategic selling abilities, and excellent communication skills. You’ll work closely with the marketing, pre-sales, and technical support teams to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify new business opportunities by researching markets, customer segments, and competitors.

  • Conduct outbound calls, cold emails, and LinkedIn outreach to generate leads.

  • Attend networking events, conferences, or online forums to expand client base.

2. Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Understand customer needs and pain points through discovery calls and meetings.

  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers (IT Managers, CTOs, Founders, Procurement Heads, etc.).

  • Provide technical and product information tailored to client requirements.

3. Product Demonstration & Solution Selling

  • Conduct effective product demos or walkthroughs with potential clients.

  • Present the value proposition clearly and persuasively, aligning it with business outcomes.

  • Explain technical features, integration capabilities, and scalability of the solution.

4. Sales Strategy & Closing

  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.

  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and pricing based on client discussions.

  • Negotiate contracts and terms in collaboration with the sales head and legal team.

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs.

5. CRM & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, deals, communications, and sales activities using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM).

  • Submit weekly reports and sales forecasts to management.

  • Document client feedback and relay it to product and technical teams.

6. Market Research & Competitor Analysis

  • Stay up to date on technology trends, product updates, and industry changes.

  • Monitor competitors’ offerings and identify opportunities to differentiate our solution.

  • Share insights with product or marketing teams for go-to-market strategy improvements.

Skills & Competencies

Sales & Communication Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Persuasive presentation and negotiation abilities

  • Confidence to communicate with senior executives and decision-makers

  • Empathy, patience, and problem-solving mindset

Technical Understanding

  • Basic knowledge of SaaS, cloud computing, IT services, cybersecurity, CRM, ERP, or similar tech domains

  • Ability to understand and explain technical products to non-technical clients

  • Comfortable with demo environments, integrations, and basic API understanding (training will be provided)

Tools & Software

  • CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM)

  • Email campaign tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Lemlist, Salesloft)

  • MS Office/Google Workspace

  • Video conferencing tools (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet)

  • Optional: Knowledge of tools like Slack, Jira, Trello, Notion is a plus
