Technical Assistant for Physics Lab job recruitment in Harish-Chandra Research Institute.
Qualification: B.Sc. (Honours) in Physics with minimum 60 percent marks, or M.Sc. in Physics/ Electronics/ Instrumentation with minimum 55 percent marks. The degree(s) must be from a recognized college/ institution. Knowledge of computer usage is essential. (Preference will be given to applicants with post-graduate degree).
Experience: Minimum 2 years technical experience for graduates, and 1 year for postgraduates is essential to be considered for the job. The candidates must have worked in a similar capacity in a graduate (B.Sc./B.Tech./B.E.) or post-graduate level (M.Sc.) laboratory.
Salary : Rs. 25000-30000 per month for those having only B.Sc. (Honours) degree, and Rs. 30000-35000 per month for those with M.Sc. degree. It shall be a consolidated amount and no other payment shall be applicable on this. An annual increment of 5-7 percent can be considered based on performance.

Job requirement: The incumbent has to (a) assist the faculty in conducting practical classes for M.Sc. students, (b) maintain and operate advanced and sophisticated teaching equipment such as Zeeman effect, Faraday effect, Michelson and Fabry-Perot interferometers, basic solid state physics experiments, Geiger-Muller Counting system, etc., and (c) keep stock of consumables and spares required for the instruments.
