Applications are invited from interested candidates for recruitment of Technical Assistant (1 No.) to work at the Department of Geography, School of Earth Sciences, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli for a Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST) Research Project (Bharathidasan University Ref. No.36639/P6/2021dt 20.04.2021).
1. Project Title: Assessment of Groundwater Quality for Socio-Economic Development - A Case Study of Perambalur District, Tamil Nadu
2. Post: Technical Assistant (01 No.) (Purely on temporary basis with the duration of project)
3. Salary: Rs.5,000/-p.m.(Consolidated)
4. Duration: Two Years
5. Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate in Geography/Geology/Environmental Science
6. Nature of Work:
a. Undertake extensive field surveys and collect water samples for groundwater quality analysis
b. Evaluate groundwater quality for socio-economic development in Perambalur District
c. Assist the Investigator in data collection, processing, preparation of progress reports, article preparation etc.
d. Candidates selected to work in the project will have the option to register for Ph.D. (Part Time) programme in Department of Geography, provided fulfilling the relevant eligibility criteria of Bharathidasan University.
