Technical Officer job vacancies in Punjab State Council for Science Technology on contractual basis

1. Technical Officer/ 2 Posts (General-1, SC-1) 

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Botany/Zoology/Environment Science/Forestry/Agriculture with NET qualification or minimum 70% marks in above mentioned streams of Post Graduation. Should have passed Punjabi upto Matriculation. 

Desirable Qualification & Experience: Ph.D. in above mentioned streams. Experience of working with local communities and NGOs w.r.t biodiversity conservation, data collection & compilation, capacity building and project preparation, etc. 

Job requirement: Setting up of Biodiversity Management Committees and Preparation of People's Biodiversity Registers by conducting Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) exercise, organizing field camps and recording of traditional knowledge associated with biological resources. Organizing capacity building & training programmes for various stakeholders. Preparation of proposals for conservation of flora and fauna of Punjab and publication of awareness literature. The job involves extensive field visits. 

Age: The upper age limit shall be 37 years as on 01.01.2018, which will be relaxable upto 45 years in case of applicants already serving in Govt. Departments/Organizations. 

Salary: Rs.25,000/- + 20% HRA per month
