Qualifications : (i) Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a recognised University included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule to the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (52 of 1984) with registration in the Veterinary Council of India or in a State Veterinary Council. (ii) Three years’ experience of working in the field of artificial insemination and production of frozen semen.

Desirable : Post Graduate Degree in Animal Genetics and Breeding or Veterinary Obstetrics and Gynecology or Animal Bio-technology.

Pay Scale : Rs.15,600-39,100/-(PB–3) + GP Rs.5400/- + T.A. & HRA as admissible.

The Royal Commission on the Superior Civil Services in India under the Chairmanship of Lord Lee, which submitted its Report in 1924, recommended the setting up of the Public Service Commission. This led to the establishment of the first Public Service Commission on 1 October 1926 under the Chairmanship of Sir Ross Barker.
