Position: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: We have opportunities in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai, travel will be an essential part of the role
Salary: 50,000 – 75,000 Rs (+ monthly commission based on sales, yearly bonus, benefits)
Overview:
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer join our expanding sales division. Within the technical engineering and automation sector we are a market leader, providing leading cutting-edge products, solutions and services to customers across all major industries.
We are seeking a commercially minded individual who is fully independent and able to work in an autonomous role. You have the flexibility and freedom to manage your own diary.
Technical Sales Engineer Responsibilities:
- Seek out new customers and sales opportunities within the technical engineering and automation sector.
- Develop new strategies for growth.
- Meet current KPI & sales targets.
- Build strong customer relationships and network with industry leaders.
- Understand customer requirements for current or future opportunities.
- Manage CRM, daily diary, and general administration duties.
- Liaise with Head office on a weekly/bi-weekly basis in the form of meetings/video calls.
- Attend networking events, breakfast meetings, trade shows and exhibitions.
- Promote and advertise via digital platforms.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience of technical sales, B2B in a sales role, would be beneficial but not essential if you are just starting out in a sales role (however please note limited sales experience would be reflected in your salary expectations).
- Prior experience working with High Speed Automation, Special Purpose Machinery, Packaging Machinery, Vision Inspection Systems, Automated Robotic Cells etc would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Formal qualification in Mechatronic, Automation, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering at least to BTEC HNC/D level or industry-based equivalent
- Driven, self-motivated and keen to develop further knowledge of the technical engineering and automation industry sectors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Confident user of social media channels to promote, market and advertise products & services.
- Travel and staying away from home for a few days each week is essential as you will be covering a region and multiple trade/events across over the year.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
