Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Application Support Engineer to join our team for the night shift. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for business-critical applications, ensuring uptime, and resolving user and system issues during overnight hours. You will serve as the first line of defense for technical incidents, system errors, and escalations, ensuring smooth operations around the clock.
Key Responsibilities:-
Monitor application systems and respond to alerts or outages in real-time.

Troubleshoot and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 application issues related to performance, functionality, and availability.

Handle and resolve support tickets raised by internal users or external clients during the night shift.

Escalate unresolved issues to Level 3 support or development teams as needed.

Execute batch jobs, data validations, and regular maintenance tasks.

Perform log analysis and monitoring using tools.

Document incidents, root causes, and resolution steps in a timely manner.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Product Support.

Maintain operational documentation and knowledge base.

Participate in shift handovers and provide detailed status updates to the day team.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

0-1 years of experience in application support, system administration, or related roles.

Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows environments.

Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).

Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk).

Knowledge of monitoring tools and incident management practices.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night hours.
