A Tele Caller is responsible for making outbound calls to potential or existing customers to promote products, services, or gather feedback. The role also includes handling inbound inquiries, resolving basic customer issues, and documenting call information accurately. As the first point of contact for many customers, the Tele Caller plays a key role in creating a positive impression and building a company’s brand reputation.
This role is suited to candidates with good communication skills, a confident phone presence, and a customer-oriented mindset. Tele Callers are often part of sales campaigns, customer service operations, or lead-generation initiatives depending on the company’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound Calling

Make daily outbound calls to prospective customers using provided data or cold call lists.

Introduce the company’s products or services and explain their features and benefits.

Convince customers to engage with the company—this could be through product purchase, appointment scheduling, or registration.

Follow scripted calls when necessary while being flexible to personalize the conversation.
2. Inbound Call Handling

Receive incoming calls from customers and address their queries effectively.

Provide information related to products, pricing, delivery timelines, or ongoing offers.

Redirect calls to the relevant department for advanced technical or service-related concerns.
3. Customer Engagement and Relationship Building

Engage professionally and courteously with customers to build rapport and trust.

Maintain a friendly tone even under pressure or when dealing with difficult calls.

Record customer preferences and pass useful feedback to relevant teams for follow-up.
4. Data Entry and CRM Management

Accurately record call outcomes, customer details, feedback, and next steps in CRM software or Excel sheets.

Update customer records with the latest communication and status.

Maintain data confidentiality and ensure records are stored as per company policy.
5. Target Achievement

Achieve or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly call targets.

Meet goals related to conversions, leads generated, appointments booked, or sales closed—depending on the campaign.

Participate actively in performance reviews and use feedback to improve results.
6. Reporting and Collaboration

Submit daily call reports, status updates, and performance summaries to supervisors.

Work closely with other Tele Callers, field sales teams, or support agents to coordinate efforts and improve efficiency.

Attend training sessions or team briefings to stay updated on new scripts, offers, or product changes.
