Job Overview
A Telecaller is responsible for making outbound and handling inbound calls to prospective or existing customers to promote products or services, generate leads, and provide customer support. Telecallers are an integral part of the sales and marketing team, acting as the first point of contact between the company and its clients.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a persuasive personality, and the ability to work under targets. This position is suitable for freshers and experienced professionals aiming for a career in sales, marketing, or customer service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound Calling

Make high-volume outbound calls to prospective customers using company databases or leads.

Introduce products or services, explain features and benefits clearly, and address initial customer queries.

Follow approved call scripts while maintaining a professional and persuasive tone.

Generate sales leads, appointments, or service inquiries.
2. Inbound Call Handling

Answer incoming calls from customers seeking information or assistance.

Provide accurate information on products, services, or promotions.

Resolve queries promptly or escalate complex issues to senior staff.

Maintain a friendly, professional, and helpful communication style.
3. Lead Generation & Follow-Up

Identify potential clients and qualify leads based on interest and requirements.

Conduct follow-up calls to convert leads into confirmed sales or appointments.

Maintain records of call outcomes, client information, and follow-up schedules.

Assist in creating new opportunities by cross-selling or upselling services.
4. Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

Listen actively to understand customer needs and provide suitable solutions.

Gather feedback and suggestions to improve customer satisfaction and service quality.

Ensure high levels of professionalism and reliability in all customer interactions.
5. Documentation & Reporting

Record call details, customer interactions, and lead status in CRM or Excel.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on call volume, lead generation, and conversions.

Monitor call outcomes to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance performance.

Maintain accurate and updated data for future follow-ups.
6. Collaboration with Teams

Coordinate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless workflow.

Share insights from customer interactions to help improve products, services, or campaigns.

Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance calling techniques and product knowledge.

Support team objectives and contribute to overall business growth.
7. Meeting Targets

Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets for calls, lead generation, and conversions.

Required Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills

Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) for reporting and data management.

Familiarity with CRM software like Zoho, Salesforce, or HubSpot.

Ability to handle multi-line telephone systems efficiently.
