Job Description

Job Summary:

The Telecaller plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining communication with potential and existing customers through phone calls. This role involves reaching out to customers to offer services, follow up on leads, gather information, and provide necessary assistance. A Telecaller is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, meeting sales targets, and maintaining a positive relationship with clients. The role requires strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to handle rejection professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Outreach & Engagement:

  • Make outbound calls to potential customers to promote products or services.

  • Handle inbound calls from customers inquiring about products, services, or assistance.

  • Maintain a clear and professional communication tone, ensuring customers feel valued and respected during calls.

  • Identify customer needs and provide solutions or direct them to the relevant departments or personnel.

  • Follow up with leads to convert them into sales opportunities or gather necessary information for the sales team.

2. Sales & Lead Generation:

  • Promote and sell products or services over the phone, reaching sales targets and performance goals set by the company.

  • Create and maintain a customer database with accurate information, including contact details and preferences.

  • Qualify leads by gathering and assessing customer information to determine interest and readiness to purchase.

  • Assist in generating new business opportunities by prospecting, lead follow-ups, and referrals.

  • Cross-sell or up-sell products based on customer needs and interactions.

3. Customer Service & Support:

  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide accurate information regarding products and services.

  • Handle complaints or issues raised by customers, ensuring they are resolved in a professional manner.

  • Follow the company’s guidelines to provide consistent, high-quality customer service.

  • Maintain positive customer relationships through regular follow-ups and check-ins.

4. Data Entry & Record Keeping:

  • Accurately update customer information, call logs, and sales reports in the company’s CRM system.

  • Document key details from each call, including customer feedback, questions, or special requests.

  • Provide daily/weekly reports on calls made, sales achieved, and any important customer insights.

5. Performance Tracking:

  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, or monthly targets for calls, sales, and customer interactions.

  • Track personal performance metrics (calls per day, successful leads, conversion rates) to optimize efficiency and achieve goals.

  • Report challenges or issues in meeting targets to the supervisor or team leader.

6. Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the sales team to share valuable insights and potential sales opportunities.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet team goals and contribute to the overall success of the department.

  • Participate in team meetings or training sessions to improve sales techniques and communication skills.
