Position Overview
A Telecaller is a key member of a company’s sales and customer support team, responsible for contacting potential or existing customers over the phone to promote products, services, or gather information. The role is primarily focused on outbound and inbound calling to generate leads, set appointments, handle customer inquiries, and ensure customer satisfaction. Telecallers act as the first point of contact between the company and its customers, playing an important role in building relationships and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound Calling

Make a high volume of outbound calls daily to potential customers or leads sourced from company databases, marketing campaigns, or purchased lists.

Introduce the company’s products or services, explain features and benefits, and persuade customers to consider the offerings.

Qualify leads by assessing customer needs and interest level to identify promising prospects for sales teams or follow-up actions.

Schedule appointments or product demonstrations for sales representatives with interested prospects.
2. Inbound Calling

Respond promptly and professionally to incoming calls from customers or prospects seeking information, assistance, or support.

Provide accurate information regarding product details, pricing, promotions, and company policies.

Address and resolve customer queries, complaints, or concerns efficiently or escalate them to appropriate departments as needed.
3. Lead Generation and Follow-Up

Maintain detailed records of calls made, responses received, and customer information in the company’s CRM or telecalling software.

Follow up with potential customers who showed interest but have not yet committed to purchase or sign up.

Ensure timely communication and nurturing of leads to maximize conversion rates.
4. Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing courteous and attentive service.

Understand customer profiles and preferences to tailor conversations and recommendations effectively.

Collect customer feedback and insights during calls to help improve products, services, and customer experience.
5. Achieving Targets

Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets for calls made, leads generated, and sales appointments set.

Track performance metrics such as call duration, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction scores.

Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams to align calling strategies with business objectives.
6. Reporting and Documentation

Prepare regular reports on telecalling activities, customer interactions, lead status, and challenges faced.

Provide feedback and suggestions for improving call scripts, lead quality, and overall telecalling processes.

Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information at all times.
Key Skills
