Job Description
Introduction
A Telecaller is responsible for making outbound and inbound calls to customers, prospects, or clients to promote products, provide information, generate leads, and support sales conversions. The role demands excellent communication skills, persuasive abilities, and customer service orientation. Telecallers play a critical role in building relationships with customers and supporting the organization’s growth through effective interaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound Calling

Make outbound calls to potential customers from provided leads or databases.

Explain company products or services, features, and benefits to customers.

Generate interest, qualify leads, and transfer hot leads to the sales team.

Maintain a high volume of daily calls while achieving set targets.
2. Inbound Call Handling

Answer incoming calls professionally and resolve customer queries.

Provide accurate information about products, services, pricing, and offers.

Redirect calls to relevant departments when necessary.
3. Lead Generation & Follow-Ups

Identify new business opportunities through effective conversations.

Schedule appointments, product demos, or meetings for the sales team.

Follow up with customers who have shown interest in the company’s offerings.

Maintain updated lead and prospect records in CRM or Excel sheets.
4. Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing excellent service.

Understand customer needs and suggest appropriate products or services.

Handle customer complaints politely and escalate issues when necessary.
5. Reporting & Documentation
-
Maintain a daily call log, lead database, and customer interaction history.

Prepare reports on leads generated, follow-ups, conversions, and pending cases.

Share weekly and monthly updates with the team leader or manager.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
-
Minimum 12th Pass / Graduate in any discipline.
-
Diploma or training in customer service, telemarketing, or sales is a plus.
Technical Skills
-
Basic knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and email communication.

Familiarity with CRM software or call management systems is an advantage.
-
Ability to manage outbound and inbound calls using call center tools.
Soft Skills
-
Excellent verbal communication skills in English, Hindi, or regional languages.

Strong persuasive and negotiation abilities.
