Job Description
Job Summary
A Telecaller is responsible for making outbound calls to customers or clients, introducing them to the company's products or services, and encouraging them to take action—such as making a purchase, booking an appointment, or attending an event. Telecallers also handle incoming queries, provide information, and record customer feedback.
This role is essential in building a company’s customer base, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting sales or service efforts. A successful Telecaller must be articulate, persuasive, and customer-focused, with a calm and friendly demeanor on phone calls.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound Calling

Make a targeted number of outbound calls per day to prospective or existing customers from the provided database.

Promote products, services, or campaigns by clearly explaining features, offers, and benefits.

Persuade customers to take action (purchase, book a demo, register, subscribe, etc.).
2. Inbound Call Handling

Answer incoming customer calls promptly and courteously.

Address customer inquiries related to products, pricing, order status, or basic technical issues.

Direct calls to appropriate departments when necessary or escalate unresolved issues.
3. Customer Engagement

Build rapport with customers through professional and friendly conversations.

Listen actively to customer concerns, needs, or feedback and respond appropriately.

Follow up with interested leads or unresolved queries until closure.
4. Data Management and Reporting

Maintain records of calls, conversations, and outcomes in CRM or internal systems.

Update customer contact information and call notes accurately and regularly.

Prepare daily or weekly reports on calls made, leads generated, and conversions.
5. Target Achievement

Meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly calling and sales targets set by the manager.

Actively participate in campaigns, promotions, or call blitzes to boost engagement.

Take initiative to improve performance by learning product knowledge and objection handling.
6. Feedback and Improvement

Provide insights or feedback from customer interactions to improve products, processes, or communication strategies.

Suggest changes to scripts or calling strategies based on firsthand experience.
