Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic, and result-driven Telecaller to join our team. The primary responsibility of the telecaller is to make outbound calls to potential or existing customers to explain the company’s products and services, generate leads, schedule appointments, or close sales.

This role requires excellent communication skills, persuasive ability, and a customer-focused attitude. A telecaller plays a key role in helping the company reach its sales, customer engagement, and lead generation goals. Candidates with prior experience in telemarketing, telesales, or call center operations are preferred, but freshers with strong communication skills may also apply.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Outbound Calling:

  • Make a high volume of outbound calls daily to prospective or existing customers using a predefined calling list or CRM software.

  • Initiate communication, introduce the company and its products/services clearly and effectively.

  • Convince potential clients about the benefits and features of the offering using sales and communication techniques.

2. Lead Generation & Conversion:

  • Identify customer interest, qualify leads, and route warm leads to the sales team for closure.

  • Schedule appointments, demos, or callbacks as needed.

  • Follow up consistently with interested leads and ensure proper lead nurturing.

3. Customer Interaction & Relationship Building:

  • Answer questions, resolve doubts, and provide product-related information to customers over the phone.

  • Handle objections confidently and build trust with potential customers.

  • Maintain a polite, respectful, and professional tone at all times, even in the face of rejection.

4. Database & CRM Management:

  • Record all interactions, feedback, lead status, and outcomes in the company’s CRM or calling sheet accurately.

  • Maintain updated contact information and categorize leads appropriately (hot, warm, cold).

  • Keep call logs and documentation organized for team analysis and reporting.

5. Target Achievement:

  • Meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly call targets, lead generation goals, and conversion KPIs set by the supervisor or manager.

  • Strive to improve personal performance and support overall team productivity.

6. Feedback & Reporting:

  • Report daily activity to the team leader or manager, including leads generated, follow-ups completed, and issues encountered.

  • Provide market and customer feedback to help improve marketing scripts, offers, and product positioning.

7. Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with field sales representatives, digital marketing, or support teams to coordinate efforts.

  • Attend regular team meetings, product training sessions, and performance reviews.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Communication Skills:

  • Clear and fluent speaking ability in languages required (e.g., English, Hindi, Marathi, etc.)

  • Active listening skills to understand customer needs

  • Ability to explain complex products in simple terms

Sales & Persuasion:

  • Confident and convincing tone

  • Ability to overcome objections and handle rejections

  • Result-oriented approach with a go-getter attitude

Customer Service Orientation:

  • Patience and professionalism when dealing with customers

  • Empathy and the ability to build rapport quickly

Organizational & Tech Skills:

  • Familiarity with basic computer use (MS Excel, Word, CRM tools)

  • Ability to manage records and schedules accurately

  • Time management and multitasking ability
