Job Summary:
A Telecaller is a communication professional responsible for making outbound calls or receiving inbound calls to connect with potential or existing customers. The primary objective is to inform, promote, sell, or provide assistance related to a product, service, or offering. A Telecaller must be skilled in verbal communication, customer handling, data entry, and time management.
Whether the purpose is lead generation, cold calling, customer service, feedback collection, appointment setting, or follow-ups, a Telecaller serves as a vital link between the company and its clients. They play a key role in driving business growth and customer satisfaction through effective telephone interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Outbound Calling:

Make a specified number of daily outbound calls to potential or existing customers using company-provided leads.

Call individuals or businesses to explain products, services, offers, or campaigns.

Identify customer interest and generate leads or sales accordingly.

Schedule appointments or product demos when needed.
2. Inbound Calling:
-
Attend incoming customer calls courteously and professionally.

Provide information, resolve queries, or direct calls to the appropriate department.

Guide callers through product or service details and address basic technical or general concerns.
3. Lead Generation & Conversion:
-
Use convincing and persuasive language to convert cold leads into interested prospects.

Understand the needs of the caller and recommend suitable offerings.

Capture important information such as contact details, customer needs, and follow-up notes.

Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly calling targets and conversion goals.
4. Customer Follow-Up:

Follow up on previous conversations or interest shown by a customer.

Remind clients about appointments, dues, documentation, or feedback forms.

Update customers on new offers, renewals, or company policies.
5. CRM & Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of calls made, responses received, and outcomes in the CRM system or Excel sheet.

Tag calls as per lead status (interested, not interested, call back later, converted, etc.).

Generate daily or weekly reports to track progress and share with supervisors or team leads.
6. Relationship Building:

Build rapport with clients over repeated calls.

Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a professional, helpful tone in every interaction.

Act as a brand representative and uphold the company’s reputation.
7. Team Collaboration:

Coordinate with the sales, marketing, or operations team to understand promotions, lead quality, and client feedback.

Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.

Share learnings and suggestions to improve call scripts or customer responses.
Required Skills and Competencies:
1. Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal communication in [choose languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.].

Clear, confident, and polite speaking manner.

Ability to listen actively and respond appropriately.
2. Sales & Persuasion:

Ability to convince callers and handle objections effectively.

4. Computer & Typing Skills:

Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
