Job Summary:
The Telecaller is responsible for handling outbound and inbound calls to promote products or services, generate leads, resolve customer inquiries, and provide exceptional customer support. The role involves engaging with potential and existing customers via telephone, understanding their needs, and delivering relevant information in a persuasive and professional manner.
A Telecaller plays a vital role in the customer acquisition and retention strategy of the organization and often serves as the first point of contact between the company and its clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Outbound Calling

Make outbound calls to potential customers from provided or sourced databases.

Introduce the company’s products or services and explain their features and benefits clearly.

Generate interest and qualify leads by identifying customer needs and suitability.

Schedule appointments or site visits (for real estate, education, finance, etc.) for field sales teams when required.
2. Inbound Calling & Customer Support

Handle inbound calls from customers and prospects.

Respond to queries regarding products, pricing, availability, delivery timelines, or services.

Record customer concerns and provide timely resolutions or escalate to appropriate departments.
3. Lead Generation & Conversion

Capture and maintain accurate details of potential leads, including contact information and customer preferences.

Follow up on previous calls, inquiries, and leads to convert them into sales or appointments.

Maintain regular contact with interested prospects and nurture them through the sales funnel.
4. Data Management & Reporting

Maintain daily call logs, lead status reports, and updates in CRM or Excel sheets.

Ensure accuracy of customer data, feedback, and call outcomes in the reporting system.

Provide regular reports on call volume, lead quality, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness.
5. Script and Process Adherence

Follow call scripts and communication protocols provided by the organization.

Stay updated with new product knowledge, service features, offers, and company policies.

Meet individual call quotas, lead targets, and performance benchmarks set by the management.
6. Customer Relationship Building

Maintain a courteous and professional tone in all interactions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their preferences and providing appropriate follow-ups.

Gather customer feedback to help improve services and customer satisfaction.
7. Coordination & Team Support

Coordinate with sales teams, service departments, and other internal teams to ensure lead handovers and issue resolution.

Share insights and suggestions for improving telecalling scripts, communication strategies, and lead quality.
