Job Description
About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Contact businesses and private individuals by telephone to promote our services
2. Explain the service to potential customers and deliver a scripted sales pitch to the customer
3. Adjust scripted sales pitch to meet the needs of specific individuals and provide pricing details
4. Handle customer's questions and obtain customer information including names and addresses
5. Record customer details including reaction to the product or service offered
6. Receive orders over the telephone and input order details into the computer system
7. Record customer details and details of transactions and confirm orders placed with field sales representatives
8. Obtain contact details of potential customers from sources including telephone directories and purchased lists
9. Schedule appointments for sales staff to meet prospective customers
10. Conduct customer and marketing surveys
11. Answer telephone calls from potential customers who are responding to advertisements
12. Contact customers to follow up on initial interaction
