Job Summary:
A Telesales Executive is responsible for selling products or services over the phone directly to potential or existing customers. They play a crucial role in generating sales revenue, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting business growth. Telesales Executives engage with customers via outbound and inbound calls, understand customer needs, explain product features, and close sales efficiently and professionally.
This position requires excellent communication skills, persuasive ability, resilience, and a customer-focused approach. It is often performance-based and may involve meeting daily, weekly, or monthly sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Customer Interaction

Make outbound calls to prospective customers from provided leads, cold calls, or previous client databases.

Receive inbound calls from interested customers and convert inquiries into sales opportunities.

Present, promote, and sell products or services using solid arguments to both existing and prospective customers.

Explain product features, pricing structures, promotional offers, and benefits clearly and persuasively.

Understand customer requirements and suggest suitable products or packages based on their needs.

Follow up with potential customers who expressed interest or requested information in previous interactions.
2. Lead Management and Conversion

Maintain and update the customer database with accurate call details, sales notes, and follow-up activities.

Qualify leads and convert them into active customers by overcoming objections and closing deals.

Track and monitor sales leads, pipeline status, and conversion ratios.

Utilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to manage sales activities and customer interactions.
3. Relationship Building

Build rapport with customers and create long-term relationships to encourage repeat business.

Handle customer queries, provide post-sale support, and ensure overall customer satisfaction.

Develop a deep understanding of the product portfolio to effectively answer questions and handle objections.

Act as the first point of contact for customer feedback, complaints, or product-related concerns.
4. Target Achievement

Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and KPIs as defined by the sales team or management.

Participate in regular team meetings and share insights on sales techniques, customer trends, and market feedback.

Collaborate with team members to improve sales performance and achieve company goals.
5. Reporting and Administration

Prepare daily call logs, performance summaries, and sales reports as required.

Document key customer information including buying preferences, purchase history, and service requirements.

Escalate unresolved issues or complex customer problems to senior sales staff or supervisors.
Skills:

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and listening skills are essential. Must be able to clearly convey information and build customer trust over the phone.

Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using computers, basic office software (e.g., MS Office), and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot).
